The project

The new Central High School replaced an adjacent facility without interrupting school operations. Its initial plan serves 1,000 students.

The campus can grow to 1,200 students without enlarging major support spaces such as the media center, food service, or gymnasium. The project achieved LEED Silver certification.

Central continues to serve grades 9–12 as Bibb County’s Fine Arts and International Baccalaureate magnet high school.
