The project
Butler Automotive Group began as a family business in 1970. The Macon Lexus dealership is one of the group’s Middle Georgia stores and remains in operation at 4550 Riverside Drive.
Dunwody/Beeland designed the 46,000-square-foot building, and Sheridan Construction built it. The plan places the vehicle showroom behind the long glass wall, with service operations and customer rooms organized behind and beside it.
Clerestory windows bring daylight onto the sales floor. Wood millwork, carpet, and lower lighting give the customer lounge a quieter scale than the open showroom.
