The project

Built in 1870 as a fire engine house, the building at 950 Third Street now contains Historic Macon Foundation’s offices. Staff use it for preservation work, education, and neighborhood programs.

The Third Street elevation is black-painted brick with a continuous row of tall windows. Historic Macon’s front door and offices face downtown from the same building the organization restored.
