The project
The Liberty Building opened in 1925 as a Ford showroom and repair facility in Brunswick’s Old Town Historic District. Cars drove up a concrete ramp to reach service bays on the second floor.
The rehabilitation created ten loft apartments upstairs while keeping commercial offices and shared workspace below. Exposed brick, heavy timber, tall industrial windows, and the open roof structure remain visible in the apartments.
The original two-story car ramp is still inside the building. Current tenants also include The Collective, a coworking and office community serving Downtown Brunswick.
